THE MOON, 1985. 
FIST has been hired by NATO to invade their secret lunar research facility, which has gone dark mysteriously with no emergency signal. The base is being decommissioned. FIST has been given three KILL PROCESS DISKS, each one much be inserted into a server room in the moon base to destroy the valuable data that has been left behind. Anything left in the base is free to destroy or take, but there's something mysterious behind all of this...

TACTICS  -  Push your characters through a tactical dungeon crawl within the secret NATO lunar research base to scrub government secrets. Choose your entry and exit points and navigate into the base. The hazards and encounters you come across will only ramp up the deeper you go, so be prepared. 

ESPIONAGE - Officially, there are no survivors of the lunar base. NATO has written it off as a loss, and FIST has complete authority to engage anything inside with as much force as they deem necessary to complete their mission. That said, it's not just going to be a leisurely stroll through an empty base. And what caused the base to cut off communications in the first place?

ACTION - Remotely Activated NATO security synths, rolling Patroller autoturrets, weird experiments, and a killer cosmic entity from the black hole at the center of the galaxy; All of these and more are waiting for you within the lunar base. Experience the procedural death labyrinth - Are you in and out in the first three rooms without even seeing something scary, or was your mission doomed to fail from the start? Play to find out.

ONCE IN A RED MOON is the Sixth installment of the FEAST series of unofficial trifold supplements for FIST by CLAYMORE RPGs, inspired by the RATIONS series. Back for the second course! This is a mission for a handful of fresh operatives, but feel free to let veteran operatives take a crack at it for increased survivability. This is a spiritual successor in many ways to HAZARD FUNCTION, the quintessential FIST starter mission (although sometime soon I do have to try writing a real funnel mission). Also, I want to give credit to Ripley's excellent adventure A WIZARD for inspiration, a few elements from that have definitely made it into this, particularly the instakill mechanic, to the point where it's worth mentioning.
This mission is kind of an entry into the MOON JAM, which may or may not exist. The MOON JAM logo was made by Lunar Larry. 

 This mission is deadly and scary and should be played as such, but have fun with it first and foremost. Like the rest of the game, there are aspects that rely entirely on luck. Play the encounters, enjoy the experience whether you fail or succeed, do what FIST does best and redefine what those terms even mean. 
i went with "areas" instead of "rooms" to give groups some freedom in how they want the interiors to be laid out. Please feel free to design and populate these areas with additional items and rooms that fit the context as needed, to adjust the depth and difficulty of the mission. 

Content warnings are the same as regular FIST with the addition of some minor body horror.
